Two twenty-somethings with a penchant for new challenges. We both have been eating paleo 50-75% of the time for the last 6 months and wanted to see if we could go all out. Well I haven’t been keeping up on my workouts as I should. I have done a few P90X workouts (thank you very much). The crazy thing is that even though I haven’t worked out much, I am still thinning out. Also, I helped a friend move this weekend and I felt great during and after. My strength is maintaining and I’m not getting very sore. I attribute that mainly to the increased protein intake through the diet, maybe some to the higher amounts of antioxidants in the veggies.
It’s crazy that when I was training for triathlons, I was trying to decrease my protein intake and increase my carbs (mainly grains), I couldn’t lose weight even though I was working out like an animal, and I felt like crap. Now, I don’t shy away from protein or fat and I am losing weight while maintaining muscle mass, and I feel great!
